Minor update

Don't have Sai or a working tablet pen anymore, so I'm fiddling with Gimp and coloring with a mouse to touch up and color shit. I'm unsure of this color scheme for the plant dragon, but oh well.

Ho, ho, ho

Felt like updating my blog at least one more time before the new year, so doodles it is. It wasn't just my general lack of productivity or slow rate of work that kept me from updating the past few months though: I had a drawing class this semester, and it basically just destroyed my desire to draw, ever. Now that it's over my will might return though.

Also, apologies for the smudges and quality. My laptop died and I'm on a Mac, and I have no idea what I should use for that since Sai doesn't work.

Chronicle doodlings

Been drawing a lot of stuff lately for Chronicle. Lately I've realized I don't draw my characters frequently enough, so I've just been drawing them doing THINGS. So here's some of the critters and characters for this little story thing.

Haven't started on the next chapter of it yet though; been occupying myself otherwise. I have a fun idea for it though!

WHY HAVE THE METALLIC MONSTERS COME HERE? WHAT DO THEY WANT?

OUR SOLE HOPE IS THE WARRIOR WHO CAME FROM THE FUTURE TO DEFEND US.

I MADE WRITANS

So instead of coloring my new picture, I wound up spending the past few days writing the first chapter of the scenario for those two kids in my last post. Surprisingly, it was really fun and easy to write, and just sort of flowed out easily, which has never happened ever. Not sure what I'll call it yet, but it'll probably be a chronicle of some kind, so I'll just call it "Chronicle" for now.

Feed me, Seymour!

Blagh, long pause between updates again. I didn't have an idea for a good picture for the longest time, but I got one and have been working on it. Currently just beginning the coloring stage. In the meantime, I thought I might feed the blog with some sketches of stuff I've drawn recently or things I just never got around to scanning. Didn't bother to clean them up any.

Also, oddly enough I've actually whipped up two smaller pictures in the meantime as well that I'll probably color two, both featuring the dudes in the last picture.

MONEY, DEAR BOY

Firth needed money. Desperately, in fact. Though he already had a fair share of cash from being a traveling merchant, him and his "partner" (a giant bird with a knack for finding treasure) had recently landed themselves in a bit of a fix and now had an enormous fine to pay off for property damage. Unwilling to give up all his cash and live like a poor person for a while, he had decided to find another way to get enough cash to pay off his debt. Having heard legends of a unique creature capable of turning anything it touches into gold, him and his bird set out on a quest to find the legendary creature Midaros.

Surprisingly, they actually found it.......though that may not have been a good thing.

New picture/possible project

So I made another story-less picture of a monster I like, though there's a humen too. I've been drawing some mildly more realistic critters based off the anatomy of some animals lately and thinking of how humans could befriend/work with them, so I guess this means I have a possible picture project underway.

BONUS TIME: Experimental sketches of two pictures I'd like to make, both featuring a traveling merchant and his treasure-seeking bird:
